Dr. Chris Kang, ACEP President
ACEP Leadership Update
Christopher S. Kang, MD, FACEP, FAWM, is an emergency physician at Madigan Army Medical Center MAMC) in Tacoma, Wash., and for Olympia Emergency Physicians, LLC, at Providence St. Peter Hospital, Olympia, Wash. He has served on the faculty of the MAMC’s emergency medicine residency and physician assistant programs. Dr. Kang was first elected to the board of directors in 2015, re-elected in 2018, and was ACEP's Secretary-Treasurer and Chair of the Board before elected as President-Elect in 2021. Dr. Kang previously served as past president of Washington ACEP, on ACEP’s Chapter Relations Committee, and chaired the ACEP Disaster Preparedness and Response Committee. He earned his medical degree and completed his residency in emergency medicine at Northwestern University in Chicago.
