Andrea Austin, MD, FACEP
Wearables: Your Secret to Unlocking Your Wellness
Dr. Andrea Austin is the Senior Lecturer at the Naval Postgraduate School’s MOVES Institute in the Healthcare Modeling and Simulation Certificate and master’s programs. She is an emergency physician and simulation director at Temecula Valley Hospital. While on Active Duty, she was the Simulation Director at Navy Trauma Training Center at LA County + USC.
She deployed with a shock trauma platoon supporting Marine Corps missions in Iraq and Kuwait in 2016-17. Her academic interests include physician well-being, performance under pressure, and equity in medicine. She is the co-host of the podcast The Emergency Mind and co-founder of Revitalize Women Physician Circle. She is the immediate past president of the Government Services Chapter.
