The Emergency Medicine Residents’ Association annually recognizes an emergency medicine resident or student in the military who has demonstrated leadership, integrity, and bravery in service to our nation and our specialty in honor of Dr. Steve Tantama. Please nominate deserving residents!
Steve Tantama, MD Military Excellence Award
Purpose of Award: To commemorate Dr. Steve Tantama and honor others who embody the ideals that he optimized: Leadership, integrity, and bravery in service to our nation and our specialty
Application Process: Nomination letter from a faculty member or member of the military and the nominee's CV
Eligibility: Member of EMRA (Resident, Alumni, or Medical Student) currently in the military
Selection Criteria: Excellence and service in the military and in emergency medicine
Award: Plaque and $1000 donated to the Wounded Warrior Project
Application Deadline: July 15
Award Date: Fall Meeting
