TU-278 RAPID FIRE: Burns to the Nth Degree

Torree McGowan, MD, FACEP

Approximately 2.4 million burn injuries are reported in the US each year. The survival and outcome of a critically ill burn patient can be impacted within the first few hours of evaluation and treatment, however just as importantly is managing the patient that does not need definitive care at a burn center. This course will be useful for the practicing emergency physician who will be the first line in treating the acutely ill burn patient.
